About Elektra
Tradition, Passion and Innovation

Our Story
Founded in 1947 in Treviso, near Venice, Elektra began its journey as Trevisium, a name rooted in pride for its Italian origins. Since then, Elektra has become more than a maker of espresso machines — it is a guardian of heritage, a symbol of design, and a reflection of true Italian culture.
Coffee machines for generations
Our legacy is one of firsts:
- 1950 – First machine with an automatic hydraulic group: SUPERAUTOMATICA X15
- 1968 – First group with an automatic dispensing solenoid valve
- 1978 – First machine with electronic dispensing and programmable doses
- 2015 – Indie, the first with micro multi-boiler technology and independent temperature control
- 2023–2024 – Under the leadership of the VEA Group, new icons Evok and Eklipto were born — blending tradition with bold, modern vision
In 2025, as part of a new chapter under the VEA Group, Elektra joined its sister brands in a consolidated headquarters and production center in Bergamo, Italy—a move that brought our innovation, craftsmanship, and Italian excellence under one roof.

An Italian legacy
In 1965, we embraced the name Elektra, inspired by the Greek word elektron, meaning “shining object.” True to its name, every Elektra machine has since been crafted to radiate — with bold lines, classic curves, and details that speak volumes. Our machines are not just tools, they are icons — admired for their beauty, trusted for their reliability, and chosen for their soul.
Made to last
Design has always been our silent signature. From the sculptural silhouettes of our heritage models to the modern elegance of today’s creations, Elektra machines are made to be displayed in homes, cafés, and spaces where the Italian lifestyle is not just appreciated but celebrated.
This is a design that doesn’t follow trends; it sets them.
